Building Better Organizations
Means Solving Problems

Pamela J. Maus Consulting's Clients are diverse—from nonprofit organizations to large corporations—and they have many different specific needs. While their needs are unique, they all have a few things in common in that they are...

Ready for change
Committed to the process
Eager to work with someone who respects their experience
Interested in collaborative problem-solving

Pam’s clients are small business owners, project managers, executive directors and CEOs, board chairs, team leaders, and anyone responsible for leading a group through the tides of change.

She seeks clients who are invested in their own outcomes, and clients seek her services because she knows exactly how to help them achieve their goals.

Some Pamela J. Maus Consulting Solutions

When a mid-sized mature company realized that the key to their turnaround and future viability was in its leadership, Pam was hired to be part of the team to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive leadership development program that would be used as a core strategy for the turnaround. Five years later, the leadership transformation is credited with playing a significant role in doubling the company’s market capitalization.

Pam served as the executive director of the fledgling state-wide Maine Women's Network where she increased membership by 50% within her first year. She secured the organization's 501(c)(3) tax exempt status, installed a membership management system, and created strategic alliances with mission-aligned organizations. She recruited and trained volunteer chapter leaders and attracted new board members to ensure the organization's growth and sustainability.

The merger of two organizations resulted in the need for two work groups to respond quickly and with one voice to the needs of internal customers. Pam led a teambuilding effort that resulted in increased collaboration and a restructured team positioned to work seamlessly to respond with timely and effective solutions to customer problems.

When Harvard Business School needed a curriculum on managing diversity, Pam was called in to develop case studies to demonstrate the dynamics of leadership in product development using a diverse team model. The cases Pam wrote were published in Managing Effectively Through Diversity and are widely used in business education around the world.

Competing in a fast-paced environment led the visionary CEO of a small startup company to request an innovative process for aligning individual and team performance to the company's mission and performance objectives. Pam designed a new system that included a train-the-trainers program to employ leaders as the chief communicators and trainers of the new system. The program emphasized skills including goal setting, conflict management, and feedback.
